The red fox has a very large geographical range reaching from the Polar Circle to the tropics. In the wilderness, it mainly lives in forests, in the fields and in the grassland. Since the early 20th century, it can occasionally be found in towns. Only very few foxes are tame. That’s why the fox cannot be cuddled, but you can stroke it as long as it tolerates it.
